Buy KrisFlyer Miles for University Trip to Spain

University Trip to Spain
My little brother had his final year university trip coming. According to his university, the graduating batch needed to come up with three countries they’d like to visit and the administration would choose one, arrange for the visas and pay for the hotel rent. That left the students to arrange for the ticket fare, roaming around and the food. My dad was already paying my brother’s tuition so my brother had refused to ask for more money and he had too much of an ego to take mine. Spain was the destination the administration had chosen to send these kids and my brother didn’t have enough money for both the fare and the expenditures in Spain.

Singapore air flight
He started looking dejected but I remembered the Krisflyer membership cards are bank advised us to het when we both opened an account there. Since he used his bank debit card a lot and flew Singapore air twice since we’d been members I was sure he probably had a good amount of miles in there. When I told him this he was skeptical but decided to check anyways and I was right. We checked award seats on the Singapore air flight that would get him at the airport on the same day as everybody else and found out that if my brother decided to buy Krisflyer miles he’s have enough miles to get a ticket at half the original price. He was ecstatic, not only was the trip going to finally happen but he had enough money left to spend in Spain itself.

Madrid
Once he was back he was full of stories of his adventures and because he was there with his friends things couldn’t have gotten any better for him. He and his friends were able to visit Barcelona, Granada, Seville and Madrid. Hearing stories of bus rides in Barcelona, tapas with every meal, winter sales they caught, visiting Alhambra, skiing at Sierra Nevada, orange trees in Seville, amazing restaurants and getting lost it was like we’d gone through Spain with him. He mentioned several times out of excitement how most of the Spanish people he met were very friendly and how he had started getting a hang of the language. He’s also kind of fallen in love with Spanish tapas, a kind of finger food, he literally misses them. He tried making them too but they didn’t tast “like they did in Spain”

culture
It was a joy to see my brother get to go on this trip and experience a whole different culture, its people and how can I forget its food. Plus both my brother and I have a new found respect for put Krisflyer miles. We’re getting smarter and finding newer ways to earn more miles. The plan is to earn enough miles to make another trip to Spain affordable so that he can show me what’s so great about those tapas.
